Mineral Specimen #999 Marcasite
Buick Mine, Bixby, Viburnum Trend District, Iron Co., Missouri, USA
The Marcasite on this specimen has a very attractive reddish tarnish. It has a very high metallic luster. There is a small, very clear Calcite crystal on one side near the bottom. The specimen is in good condition with a minium of damage. The specimen has been glued onto a styrofoam pedestal which has been glued onto a stryfoam base which has in turn been glued onto the bottom of a 2 inch fold up box.
