Although Brumado is famous for its Uvite Tourmaline specimens, here is another species of Tourmaline from the mine. This is the first time I have had any of these. This specimen is quite attractive. Both the Dravite and the Magnesite crystals exhibit a high luster. The Dravite crystals are elongated prisms, of an attractive reddish brown color and many are transparent. The Magnesite crystalsare transparent to semitransparent. The specimen is in very good condition with no appreciable damage to either the Dravite or the Magnesite.
