Ray Mine, Mineral Creek District, Dripping Spring Mountains, Pinal County, Arizona

This specimen consists of Malachite Stalactites which have been coated with a layer of sky blue Chrysocolla. This in turn has been coated with a layer of translucent Chalcedony. The color of the Chrysocolla shines through the Chalcedony. The specimen was mined in the mid 1990s. The specimen is in very good condition with no appreciable damage.
