Mineral Specimen #898    Smithsonite variety: Cobaltoan

Tsumeb, Namibia

This specimen is essentially thumbnail sized. The Smithsonite is an attractive lavender color. The crystals are translucent with a high luster and a curved habit. The specimen is in very good condition, although, there a small chip on the edge and another on the face of one crystal (seen in first photo).
