Mineral Specimen #888    Bicolor Smithsonite

Choix, Municipal de Choix, Sinaloa, Mexico

This botryoidal Smithsonite exhibits beautiful colors and has a very high luster. The specimen is in fairly good condition; however, it has layers like an onion with some of them removed. Also, there is some chipping and internal fractures on one side (on the right in the first photo). Note: there is some styrofoam attached to the bottom in small areas.
