Lower New Street quarry, Paterson, Passaic Co., New Jersey, USA
This specimen is from a new find of Prehnite at the Lower New Street Quarry. In the find, there was one small pocket in which the Prehnite was different than the rest. This specimen exhibits the spherical shapes exhibited by the specimens from this pocket. The color differs from one side of the specimen to the other. The spheres exhibit a striated habit. One of the spheres is incomplete and hollow; another is a hemisphere. There are still a couple of small plant rootlets stuck in the specimen. The specimen is in excellent condition.
