Mineral Specimen #815    Anatase on Quartz with Unidentified Inclusions

Diamantina, Jequitinhonha valley, Minas Gerais, Brazil

7.9 x 5.2 x 4.7 cm

Sold

There are numerous Anatase crystals on one side of this Quartz crystal. The Anatase crystals are a nice brown color and are semi transparent. These crystals are 2 to 3 mm across. The Quartz crystal at first glance appears to be Smoky Quartz but is actually clear with an included, unidentified, black material. There is also included red/brown material (Hematite?) and a light colored material. The Quartz crystal is double terminated with one end well terminated and the other appears to have a point of attachment. There are also numerous, clear, small crystals on one side of the Quartz. These are probably more Quartz crystals but might be something else because they are a bit odd shaped.
