Mineral Specimen #80 Epidote on Quartz Stalactites
Xichang Mine, Xichang County, Liangshan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China
Sharp, lustrous Epidote crystals perched on clear Quartz crystals. The red in the concentric patterns on the bottom is probably Hematite. The double ring is the bottom of a stalictal growth which extends to the top of the specimen. The top of the stalactite can be seen on the right in the last picture covered at the top with Epidote. The specimen is in very good condition.
