Mineral Specimen #78 Chalcopyrite Inclusions in Optical Calcite
Faraday Township, Bancroft District, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada
A cleavage of very clear Calcite with Chalcopyrite 'worms' readily visible in the interior. This is difficult to photograph because of the depth of field. Included are two photos of the same view with a different depth of focus so you can see the detail of the Marcasite at different levels. This specimen definitely looks better in person.
