Mineral Specimen #734    Prehnite and Microcline variety Adularia

Osceola No. 5, Osceola Mine, Osceola, Houghton Co., Michigan, USA

The contrast of the green Prehnite with the bright red Microcline (Adularia) is quite attractive. The small crystals of both species are very well formed and very interesting under a loupe. Collected in the summer of 2009 by Ross Lillie, the current owner of the property. Note: some of the Prehnite is damaged.

8.2 x 7.4 x 4.5 cm
