Ex. Steve Pullman

CaMgSiO4

Massive brown colored Monticellite in a Calcite matrix with radiating sprays of light yellow colored Apatite crystals. (Note: the Apatite crystals are not as apparent in person as depicted in the photos). It is a bit of a mystery as to the location on the label painted on the specimen. I could find no reference to a Calag mine in the area. The specimen is likely from the Kimzey Calcite Quarry and possible Calag refers to Calcite Aggregate mine?

Condition: Composed of massive material.

Flaws: Essentially massive material.
