Mineral Specimen #695 Green Smithsonite Crystals
Berg Aukus, Grootfontein District, Otjozondjupa Region, Namibia
The Smithsonite crystals on this specimen are arranged in barrel shaped sheaths. The color is a light green and quite good for this location. The contrast with the brown massive Descloizite (not tested) sets off the Smithsonite nicely. There are also some pale yellow crystals mixed with the Smithsonite which is likely Willemite. The specimen is in very good to excellent condition with only one broken Smithsonite crystal.
