Ex. Gary Beaman from Dakota Matrix

A section of a basalt vug filled with white colored, needle like, radiating crystals of Mordenite which are sprinkled with very small, dark colored crystals of Saponite. The specimen is from a pass over the continetal dive which peaks at 10,850 feet (3307 m). The pass is notoriously dangerous with numerous truck accidents in the last several years including 3 deaths. I was there 30 years ago to see if collecting was possible. Any vugs within reach of the road where already cleared and it was pretty sheer looking either up or down (quite scary looking down).

Condition: Good

Flaws: Due to the fragile nature of the Mordenite crystals, there are undoubtedly some missing or incomplete. However, this is not noticeable.
