Ex. Robert Gannon

A lustrous and sparkling specimen of the jet black colored, iron rich, Sphalerite known as Marmatite. Contrasting with the Marmatite are discoidal Siderite crystals of a light tan color. This is a particularly nice specimen of this material and also on the large size. The mine from which this came closed in 1981 and has now been reclaimed.

Condition: Good

Flaws: The bottom of this specimen has been sawed which allows it to display well. The face of the specimen which would be displayed is in good condition but the other sides of the specimen are not.
