Mineral Specimen #6813    Howieite(TL), Quartz, Pyrite

Laytonville, Mendocino Co., California

10.9 x 10.4 x 5.6 cm
4.3 x 4.1 x 2.2 in

Ex. Steve Pullman

The surface of this specimen is covered with radiating, black colored Howieite crystals with a high, submetallic luster. The specimen appears to be an old specimen from the discolored appearance of the pointing label (please note: this label feel off when handling and was reglued in the same location). The bottom of the specimen was sawed at an angle which nicely presents the Howieite for display purposes.

Condition: Very Good

Flaws: Nothing Appreciable
