Mineral Specimen #6486    Uvite Torumaline, Magnesite, Svanbergite on Quartz

Brumado, Bahia, Brazil

9.4 x 4.5 x 4.3 cm
3.7 x 1.8 x 1.7 in

Sold

SrAl3(PO4)(SO4)(OH)6

One large Quartz crystal with ten or more double terminated Quartz crystals at one end. The Quartz crystals are sprinkled with small Magnesite crystals. There is a relatively large, partial, light green colored Uvite crystal setting on some of the double terminated Quartz crystals. This Uvite crystal has a grainy texture likely due to some type of inclusions. There is a smaller, gemmy Uvite crystal in the middle of one of the larger double terminated Quartz crystals. There are also some small, light orange colored, crudely shaped Svanbergite crystals present. The ends of the largest crystal appear to be broken and then healed with a few, small Magnesite crystals on the surface.

Condition: Good

Flaws: The termination of the largest Quartz crystal is incomplete.
