Centennial Mine, Centennial, Houghton Co., Michigan
10.3 x 7.2 x 4.5 cm
On this specimen, there is a vug in maroon colored basalt filled with small dark green, sparkly Epidote crystals, small Quartz crystals and a few Copper crystals. Many of the Quartz crystals are double terminated including a stack of small crystals. The Quartz crystals range from white in color to quite clear. Some of the Quartz crystals are elongated and have inclusions of Epidote. Under magnification, some of the Epidote crystals can be seen to be gemmy. The bottom of the specimen has been sawn. There is another, smaller vug filled with Quartz and Epidote on the bottom of the specimen.
Flaws: The Quartz, Epidote and Copper crystals are only complete withing the two vugs. The is a small bruesided area
