At first glance, this specimen appears to have a surface covered with lilac colored Amethyst crystals. Actually, the crystals are white to clear in color and are above a layer of Amethyst colored Quartz. The color is transmitted up the length of the crystals. Below the layer of Amethyst there is another layer of white Quartz; below which, there is another layer of Amethyst and below that is another layer of white. The bottom of the specimen has been sawed. The crystals have a high luster.

Condition: Good

Flaws: Several of the crystals are incomplete
