Well formed Spahlerire crystals which are an orange/brown color with hints of green in places. The Spahlerite is transclucent and quite attractive when backlit. There are small Chalcopyrite crystals on the surfaces of the Sphalerite. The Sphalerite crystals are on a bed of Chert with very small, micro, druze Quartz crystals. There are also white colored Dolomite crystals. The mine has long been closed and is now part of a state park. The location is much better known for the yellow colored Smithsonite variety, Turkey Fat, with specimens of Sphalerite being much more rare.
Condition: Fairly Good
Flaws: There are two places where the Sphalerite is cleaved and lighter colored.
