This is a rather complex specimen. There are multiple habits of Quartz including double terminated and tabular with an odd and interesting, intricate grouping of parallel orientated, double terminated crystals. There is also a section of a large Quartz crystal on the bottom of the specimen. Most of the Quartz crystals have inclusions of either Epidote, Axinite or both. The Epidote is brighter green than usually seen at the location and consists, for the most part, of micro, crudely formed crystals. Much of the surface of the specimen is covered with maroon colored, well formed Axinite crystals for which the location is noted. These Axinite crystals are for the most part small, with a few larger ones, and have a high, glassy luster. Some of the Axinite crystals, including the largest one, are transparent.

Condition: Good

Flaws: The large Quartz crystal on the bottom of the specimen is incomplete.
