Mineral Specimen #6253    Brucite

Killa Saifullah District, Baluchistan, Pakistan

14.5 x 8 x 2 cm

Sold

A thin plate of bright canary yellow colored Brucite with crusts of micro crystals of Hydromagnesite. It is said this is the only location where Brucite occurs with this striking color. The color is even a bit more a pure yellow than depicted in the photos. The Brucite has a high luster. Although, there was a fair amount of this available from several sources at the satellite shows at the recent Denver show, much was a more pale color. This was also the largest specimen I was able to find and larger than so far posted on mindat.org. If anyone prefers a smaller piece, there are several more specimens in stock, all with the best color, which will be posted in the future. If you are interest, pictures can be sent when time allows.

Condition: Good

Flaws: There are a few small contact areas.
