Mineral Specimen #6218 Tourmaline with Iridescent Conchoidal Fracture
Minas Gerais, Brazil
1.3 x 0.8 x 0.7 cm
Here is a little curiosity, a yellow/green colored Tourmaline crystal with a flat termination at one end. The other end is quite unusual in that it has a concave conchoidal fracture which exhibits rainbow like diffractions.
Flaws: There are internal cleaves which are perpendicular to the C axis.
