Mineral Specimen #61 Hemimorphite, Calcite and Mimetite
Mina Ojuela, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico
The Hemimorphite is water-clear with high luster. The Calcite is in the form of white rhombs which grew on the sides of the Hemimorphite crystals. At the base of the Hemimorphite crystals are small spheres of yellow Mimetite. The specimen is in very good condition. I could only find one broken hemimorphite and it is not noticeable. The specimen was labeled Calamine which is an old term used for Hemimorphite.
