Mineral Specimen #6113    Barite Cluster

Linwood Quarry, Buffalo, Scott Co, Iowa

8.2 x 7 x 3.1 cm

Sold

Although there has been quite a number Barite specimens available the last several years, this specimen is especially noteworthy and nicer than most. The crystals are transparent with a high glassy luster and a light smoky brown color.

Condition: Good

Flaws: Minor bruising in a few places. One crystal looks is incomplete and has a conchoidal fracture which is most unusual for Barite.
