A single Topaz crystal has grown on one face of a Microcline crystal. It appears the base of the Topaz crystal is partially embedded in the Microcline. The Topaz crystal is well formed, transparent. has a good, glossy luster, is striated on one face and has unidentified, dark colored inclusions. The Microcline crystal is well formed with three intact surfaces. The Microcline is a light, peachy, yellow/orange color. This color is more orange on two faces, including the face with the Topaz. These two faces have a matte luster. The top face is a little more yellow in color and has a high glossy luster. The other surfaces are this same color. The bottom of the specimen (not depicted) is a cleavage plane with a high, glossy luster. Please note: the top surface may be a cleavage plane but there is a secondary growth crust of an unidentified material on its surface which seems to indicate it is not.

Condition: Good

Flaws: One of the faces on the termination of the Topaz crystal is incomplete and there are internal cracks in the crystal.
