Mineral Specimen #604 Fluorite on Creedite
Mina Navidad, Abasolo, Durango, Mexico
Fluorescent LW (Fluorite)
The Creedite on this specimen is composed of narrow blades which are highly lustrous with a bright orange/brown color. The crude Fluorite crystals are pale green colored with a hint of blue and fluoresce bright blue under longwave UV. The combination of the Creedite and the Fluorite is not that common and represents only a small fraction of the specimens which have come from this mine. Although attractive, there are quite a few areas of contact zone on this specimen.
