The surface of this specimen is composed of a thin layer of Malachite over a layer of dark gray colored Hetrogenite. Below this, there are further alternating layers of each. There are areas where small, Malachite crystals are present. From the collection of Fred Pough noted mineral author, former curator of the American Natural History Museum of New York and codiscoverer of Brazilinite.

Condition: Fairly Good

Flaws: There are broken surfaces at one end of the specimen which reveals the underlying layers.
