Crudely formed, relative large Copper crystals which have a flattened habit due to having formed in a vein in basalt. The Copper is coated with micro crystals of Cuprite and bright green patches of Malachite. The specimen is from an area which is part of the Middle and Lower Keweenawan Supergroup and is similar to that found on the Keweenaw Peninsula in Michigan. And although there were small copper mines in the area long ago, the copper deposits are considerably smaller, this specimens are much more rare.
Condition: Good
Flaws: Nothing Appreciable
