The Chalcopyrite crystals on this specimen are complex in habit, well formed and have a high, iridescent, metallic luster. The iridescence is primarily blue/green to yellow/green with areas of purple and orange/gold. The underlying matrix is massive, gray colored Hematite which is coated with small, rhombic Dolomite crystals which are in tur coated with a thin layer or reddish/brown Hematite. There are also small, off-white colored. dogtooth Calcite crystals present.
Condition: Good
Flaws: Although the majority of the specimen is in very good to excellent condition, there are three areas of damage, one on either side and one at the top of the specimen.
