Mineral Specimen #5966    Vesuvianite

Jeffrey Quarry, Asbestos, Les Sources RCM, Estrie, Quebec, Canada

2.9 x 2.5 x 3.1 cm

Sold

A mass of vivid purple, small Vesuvianite crystals. The color is exquisite and as good as one can get for Vesuvianite from this or any location. On one side of the specimen, the color phases into a pale yellow. Surprisingly, the specimen also fluoresces an orange/brown color under SW UV.

Condition: Good

Flaws: Although not noticeable, with so many small crystals, there are undoubtedly a few broken crystals.
