Mineral Specimen #5505    Goshenite with Included Tourmalne, Fluorite, Muscivite variety: Sericite

Erongo Mountain, Erongo Region, Namibia

5.8 x 3.3 x 2.2 cm
Goshenite crystal is 8 x 7 x 6 mm

Sold

An interesting combination specimen with colorless Beryl (Goshenite) associated with dark purple Fluorite on a surface of green colored Muscovite. The Goshenite crystal is well formed and is transparent with a high glassy luster. Included within the Goshenite crystal are small, elongated, thin, black colored Tourmaline crystals. The Fluorite crystals are opaque with a dull luster.

Condition: Good

Flaws: There is some wear on the edges of the Fluorite. There is a small spot on the edge of the termination of the Goshenite which is either a contact point or a chip, I can't quite tell which. There is also a small internal cleave in the same area just below the surface.
