Mineral Specimen #5376    Spessartine Garnet, Smoky Quartz, Fluorite, Microcline

Tongbei, Fujian, China

It is rare to find Fluorite on specimens from this location which is famous for its Spessartine crystals. The Fluorite crystal is octahedral and light green in color. The Spessartine crystals are very nice being a bright orange color, gemmy, well formed and have a high luster. The Fluorite and Spessartine rest on Microcline crystals which area a light pink/orange color. There are also clear, light colored Smoky Quartz crystals present.

Condition: Good

Flaws: One of the Quartz crystals is incomplete and has an internal cleave. There are internal cleaves in the Fluorite crystal.
