Ex. Don Langham Prior to 1975

A most curious specimen with Pyrite on the surface and included in Calcite crystals which in some of the crystal creates phantoms. The Calcite is clear to white in color but the included Pyrite gives many of the crystals a gray coloration. The Calcite crystals have a rounded, melted appearance and look as if they have been exposed to acid. However, there are clean cleavage planes around the edges of the bottom indicating that the acid exposure was likely natural and occurred before the specimen was collected. Please note: I have repeatedly examined the specimen with a 10x loupe and am reasonably sure the small sulfide crystals are Pyrite, but they are really small, and Marcasite is a possibility. Don Langham's list does not help because he had the specimen labeled as Phantom Calcite.

Condition: Very Good

Flaws: Nothing Appreciable
