Mineral Specimen #4635    Quartz Epimorph after Calcite

Location Unknown

Ex. Bob Gannon

A thin layer of Quartz has formed over a pale yellow/tan colored Quartz. Unfortunately, there was no label with the specimen in Bob Gannon's collection. The crystal habit looks familiar, but I just can't quite place it. Interesting raised edges give the crystal a dramatic appearance.

Condition: Excellent

Flaws: Nothing Appreciable

6.9 x 4.6 x 3.5 cm
