Mineral Specimen #4604    Calcite pseudomorph after Glauberite

Camp Verde, Camp Verde District, Yavapai Co., Arizona

Hoppered Glauberite crystals which have been replaced with tan colored Calcite. This is a rather large specimen for this material. This is the natural color; many spceimens from this location were soaked in Copper Sulfate which gave them a bright, Malachite green color (probably due to replacement of some of the Calcium with Copper).

Condition: Excellent

Flaws: Nothing Appreciable

9 x 6.7 x 7.1 cm
