Mineral Specimen #429    Lavender Smithsonite

Chihuahua, Mexico

The color on this specimen is a beautiful lavender (and perhaps a little more pink in real life). There is a high luster and no damage outside of the contact area. There is another layer of teal colored Smithsonite under the lavender which is visible from the side and around the contact area. There is also a thin upper layer of orange colored Smithsonite in the fold of the specimen.
