Mineral Specimen #4294    Native Copper Crystals

Rubtsovskoe Cu-Zn-Pb deposit, Rudnyi Altai, Altaiskii Krai, Western-Siberian Region, Russia

A curious native Copper specimen which is a curved stack of crystals rising from a rounded mass of crystals. The color varies from copper color to a reddish purple which is likely due to the presence of a micro coating of Cuprite. The specimen is in very good condition with no appreciable damage.
