Mineral Specimen #4201    Double Terminated Quartz on Quartz Stalactite with Calcite

A slender Quartz stalactite covered with micro Quartz druze and larger double terminated Quartz crystals. These crystals range from white to clear in color; many of which have a dark interior. The druze coating is gray in color with a section which has a reddish cast near the middle. Near the bottom of the specimen, there are cream colored Calcite crystals. The specimen is in very good condition with the exception of one small, broken crystals near the top of the specimen.


7.5 x 2.5 x 3 cm
stalactite is 12 mm in diameter at the base, 0.8 mm at the termination
