Mineral Specimen #4152    Kutnohorite

N'Chwaning II Mine, Kuruman, Kalahari manganese fields, Northern Cape Province, South Africa

A jumble of elongated Kutnohorite crystals which are a pale, light pink color. Although the crystals are aligned in many different directions, many of them are in small, parallel orientated groups. The specimen appears to be a floater with no discernible point of attachment. The specimen is strongly fluorescent under both SW and LW (the last picture is under SW - but the color is similar under LW). The specimen is in excellent condition with no appreciable damage.
