Mineral Specimen #4057    Quartz on Twinned Calcite Crystals on Chalcedony Pseudomorph after Aragonite

Cadman Quarry, Monroe, Snowmish Co., Washington

Ex. George Katzmarek

A sparkly druze of micro Quartz crystals covers most of the twinned Calcite crystals which encase two Aragonite stalactites which have pseudomorphed to Chalcedony. The Quartz druze has a slight pink tint and the Calcite is slightly off white in color. The specimen is in good condition with the exception of some minor bruising on the edges of the Calcite crystals.
