Mineral Specimen #4021    Wulfenite, Barite, Hematite

Rowley Mine, Thebes, Maricopa Co., Arizona

Ex. Kirk Valuet

Thin, rectangular crystals of Wulfenite with a rich yellow/orange color which contrasts nicely with the underlying, massive white colored Barite. The Wulfenite crystals are paper thin which makes many of them transparent. The crystals have beveled edges. Intermixed with the Barite matrix is massive Hematite. The specimen is in good condition with the exception of a few broken Wulfenite crystals. The specimen has been glued onto an acrylic base.
