Mineral Specimen #4007    Pink Tourmaline (Elbaite)

Paprok, Kamdesh District, Nuristan Province, Afghanistan

Three conjoined Tourmaline crystals which are very gemmy and transparent. The color is richest at one end, especially on the terminations. The crystal is striated lengthwise and has a high luster. The terminations of the crystals is beveled and flat with a smooth glassy surface. The specimen is in very good condition with the exception of a few internal fractures.
