Mineral Specimen #373 Silver/Copper Hafbreed with Microcline and Epidote
Adventure mine, Butler Lode, Greenland, Ontonagon County, Michigan, USA
This specimen is very rich in Silver. It appears the Copper and Silver were originally enclosed in Calcite which has been removed with acid. There are some nice, well-formed, small crystals of Epidote and Microcline (variety: Adularia). The red and green contrast nicely and is typical of Butler lode material. The base of the specimen has been cut flat which allows the specimen to display well.
