1960s

Thin hexagonal crystals OF Pyrrhotite have pseudomorphed to small Pyrite crystals. The largest example is composed of parallel orientated Pyrrhotite. The Pyrite has a reddish tarnish. The pseudomorphs are in amongst Quartz crystals which are white to clear in color. Also present are a few Chalcopyrite crystals. These are sharp and well formed crystals but they have a thin coating of a green colored material. There is one large Calcite crystal with two sides which are cleaved, one of which is partially hollow. There is also a secondary growth of Calcite present. The specimen is in good condition with the exception of some cleaving on some of the Chalcopyrite crystals and the large Calcite crystal.
