Half of the surface of this specimen is coated with a druze of Quartz which is bright red brown in color. Presumably, the color is due to the inclusion of Hematite. The host rock appears to be white colored Chert. There is some iron oxide staining on the surface in places. Specimens from this location are seldom available.
The specimen is in good condition but there are two small bruised areas near an edge of the specimen.
