Reddish colored Sphalerite crystals which have a light coating of micro epitaxial Chalcopyrite crystals. When backlit, the color is much more vivid and the Sphalerite can be seen to be semi gemmy (sorry couldn't get a good picture of this). The matrix is composed of thin ridges of Chert which have a coating of sparkly druze Quartz which is visible in areas where the Sphalerite does not cover. There are also light creamy brown colored Calcite crystals on one side. The specimen is in good condition but there is some minor bruising in places and a few cleaved Sphalerite crystals on the back of the specimen.
