Mineral Specimen #3210    Barite

Montreal Mine, Montreal, Iron Co., Wisconsin

This specimen is composed of a mass of small bladed Barite crystals. The color ranges from a peach orange to reddish brown and is due to the inclusion of Hematite. This is classic material from this long closed mine. The specimen is in very good condition   with some minor bruising on the edges of some of the crystals along the outside edges of the specimen.
