A large aggregate of merged red brown colored Sphalerite crystals which in places is iridescent in colors of gold and blue. Chalcopyrite crystals have grown on the surface of the Sphalerite in epitaxial alignment. Of particular note are the micro cubic Pyrite crystals scattered across the specimen. Pyrite is uncommonly found on similar specimens from the lead mines of the Tri-State district. The Pyrite crystals have grown on both the Sphalerite and the Chalcopyrite. Part of the white Chert matrix is exposed. It is covered with a fine druze of sparkly micro Quartz crystals. The specimen is in fairly good condition , but there is a damaged area at the base of the white Quartz/Chert.
