Small double terminated Quartz crystals cover one end of this specimen. Many of the crystals are clear with a few being opaque white in the middle. The Quartz crystals have a very high glassy luster. The specular Hematite is composed of tightly packed small blades which also have a high luster and are black in color. Both the Quartz and the specular Hematite have grown on reniform Hematite giving the overall shape of the specimen a rounded knob shape. The specimen is in very good condition with no appreciable damage.
