Mineral Specimen #2982    Cuprian Adamite

Mina Ojuela, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico

Ex. Fred Pough, Ex. Steve Pullman

Fan shaped sprays of blocky Adamite crystals have a pleasing green color and exhibit a good luster. The color is due to the presence of copper. The specimen exhibits good fluorescence under SW UV. The specimen is in very good condition, although the largest spray is not complete on the back side of the specimen which is not visible when viewed from the top or front of the specimen.
